I started my Advertising and marketing degree at IESB. The course took 8 semesters and I finished it at the end of 2014.
From March 2012 to March 2014 I worked as English Teacher at Spanish Idiomas, a language school situated at Brasilia, Brazil. This was my first experience as an English Teacher so I learned a lot. I could develop my speaking, my vocabulary, my grammar knowledge, my listening and other skills like public speech, my organization to plan the classes, my creativity to have dynamic classes, I learned how to work with different profiles of people.
In March 2014 I had the pleasure to work in the philanthropic association Vila do Pequenino Jesus situated at Brasilia, Brazil.Their goal is to give a dignified life for people with multiple disabilities. My job was to manage their social networks like Facebook page and their site. The main goal was to attract people interested in helping with donations or something else. At Vila do Pequenino Jesus I could develop myself as a person,I could see people with a lot of problems happy, smiling, and grateful. Today I am a better person after this experience..
From 2014 to 2019 I worked as an English Teacher for kids and teenagers in a private school. This job helped me to become a more organized person, that's why I always had too many students for different ages and levels. Working in a private school made me a more political person, I had to develop skills to face different situations with students, their parents and the school administration.
From 2020 I am working as a private English Teacher. Working with kids, teenagers and adults. This type of class is different, I have to talk to the students to understand their goals, why are they studying English.
During the Covid-19 pandemic I made the decision to lose weight. In the first appointment with a nutritionist I weighed 140kg. Today I lost more than 50kg and this was a real life change. I can sleep better, I feel better with myself, I can do things I couldn't and I could know my new passion…
During my weight loss my brother gave me a challenge. If I got to 115kg, he would take me skydiving. In November 2020 I got there and I had my first experience with skydiving, a tandem skydive. In August 2021 I did a course to become a parachutist. The sport became my new passion and I realized I should look for ways to get extra money to keep skydiving.
I saw in programming a chance to make an extra income to keep skydiving. Then I started to study with some free courses. I did a Python course at Curso em vídeo and HTML, CSS and Javascript courses at Origamid. During my studies I realized I was enjoying programming and I saw this could be my main profession so I decided to invest more time and effort to make this happen.
When I saw programming could be my profession I decided to do a bootcamp at Ironhack. In two months I learned a lot of things, like Javascript, HTML, CSS, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB and Rest api. During the course I did three projects using all the technologies I had learned. I am sure in these two months I could learn what would take at least one year studying by myself. After the bootcamp I feel prepared to assume a position as Web Developer.

Advertising professional and English Teacher, I became a parachutist and fell in love with the sport. I started studying programming searching for an extra income, but I realized it could be my main profession, so I started to invest more time and effort to accomplish this goal. In August 2022 I started a Full Time Web Developer bootcamp at Ironhack, the course took 9 weeks and I could learn Javascript (ES6), MongoDB, Express, React, NodeJS, HTML & CSS, REST API Git/GitHub. Now I see programming as an opportunity to find myself professionally. Everyday I study, every new learning experience I feel more connected with this new area.
